Holistic dentistry is a more thoughtful type of dentistry. It doesn’t look at dental issues in isolation but as a function of behaviors. Sure, you want to get that cavity fixed; but, why are you getting the cavity in the first place? Are you getting enough nutrition? Are you getting the right nutrition? Are you getting your teeth cleaned regularly through hygiene? Are you taking care of your teeth properly at home? Are you getting enough exercise? Could your overall health be improved?
The issues we ultimately deal with are prevention and infection control; and, the answers to the above questions can help explain and solve those issues. It’s critical for our patients to understand that when it comes to oral health, it all matters! Learn more in our philosophy section.
biocompatibility
Biocompatibility is at the heart of our practice and at the heart of biological dentistry. Essentially what it means is that every material we use is the safest available and every procedure we do is the least invasive possible.
We research all of our dental materials, while still making sure they last. It does you no good if you have to keep coming in because the material fails. That's not 'least invasive', that's a mess.
Technology and techniques are critical during every procedure. These are the real nuts and bolts of ensuring that your procedure is done accurately, efficiently, and stress-free. And ultimately, that's how real results are made at our office!
time
Time? Yes, time. It's something you become acutely aware of when you’re sitting in a waiting room; or, if you feel hurried like someone is trying to get you out the door. We respect your time by reducing wait times to a bare minimum. And, we respect you as a patient by scheduling more time than other offices for your procedures and consultations.
Our patients are interested in their oral health and are curious about why we recommend what we recommend. We encourage you to ask questions. Easy ones, sure. Tough ones, we’re ready!
And when it’s time to do the work, just know we always over-schedule the time for each procedure so the dentists and hygienist are never rushed. Quality over quantity!
